FAQs
Is the food box free? Do I have to attend any religious services to get one?
Yes, the food box is completely free to the first 20 people who register each month. You do not have to attend any religious services to receive one. However, we would love, love, love to have you. Here's more about when and where we're worshipping these days.
Who is eligible to receive a food box?
Right now, we are working with students and their families from the Smothers Elementary School community as an initial trial. However, after the trial we will open the pantry to all. All we ask is that recipients live in the 20019 zip code. Also, if you don't really need the food box, we ask that you please be mindful of others who may be in need and consider donating.
What's inside the food box?
Many of the items will be shelf-stable items, but we hope to include fresh produce as often as it becomes available through our partners.
How many does one food box feed?
We expect each box will feed a family of four.
How can I pick up the food box?
Sign up at the link above and choose a time. Then meet us at that time at the Grace Apostolic Church parking lot. Pull into a parking space. Show your ID and we can place your food box in your trunk.
Do I need transportation to pick up a food box?
It is recommended that you do come with transportation as the food box may be too heavy to carry, especially alone. However, if you need to carry it on foot or public transportation, please consider bringing someone with you (as well as your ID.)
