building use policy
We require that the point of contact for the event arrive promptly at the time agreed upon. The church reserves the right to cancel any event where the point of contact is more than thirty (30) minutes late. All fees paid prior to the event will be forfeited. Please note that no events will be scheduled on Sundays, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, or New Year’s Day. No alcohol, narcotic, or tobacco products are allowed in the building or on the premises. In accordance with D.C. law, smoking is not permitted anywhere within our building or within 25 feet of any entrance.
FEES
The use of the rental space includes the use of the church parking lot. Street parking is also available. Rental fees are subject to change and depend on membership as well as the information provided on the request form. Submit the form below, and we'll contact you with payment information. A refundable security deposit of $250, submitted as a money order or check is required, in addition to the rental fee. The security deposit will be returned within thirty days (30) after the event date, minus any charges for possible damages or extended use of the building. All fees are due immediately in order to hold the date and schedule resources.
MUSIC & A/V
Our Music Director may be available to provide the music for your service, if requested in a timely fashion. Otherwise, use of the Sanctuary piano and/or organ is subject to the approval of the Music Director. At least one member of the church staff or congregation will be present while you are in the building to provide basic sound services. If you wish to have the event recorded or streamed live, or intend to project videos on a screen during your time in the building, you must let the church know as soon as possible. There may be additional fees involved.
MATERIALS & DECORATIONS
It is your responsibility to have enough event materials printed. You will need to make arrangements with a graphic designer and a printer. Candles, incense, food, and beverages are not allowed in the sanctuary. Moving furniture must be approved by church staff. No tape, tacks, nails, pins, screws, or other objects shall be driven into or attached to the walls, floors, furnishings, etc. If any damage is done to the building or furnishings, the $250 security deposit will not be returned and additional fees may be assessed.
FLOWERS
Floral decorations can enhance the beauty of the building and service. However, arrangements for floral decorations should be made through the florist of your choice, who will supply the flowers and the containers. Flowers may be delivered to the church preceding the event and must be removed immediately following.

Please make requests more than 14 calendar days in advance; otherwise, we are unlikely to be able to accommodate your event, with the exception of Funerals and Memorial Services.
